On the supposed last game for Bucheon SK between Daejeon, 865 days ago on November 9, 2005, no one knew 865 days later, the same (but different) football team would participate in league competition once again.
A citizen club Bucheon FC was formed in protest of the franchising move made by Jeju United which replaced Bucheon SK.
For the first ever game for Bucheon FC 1995, they took on Gyeongju in front of a record K3-League crowd of 1,211 despite the horrendous rain. Despite being scoreless in the first half, the ex-Chunnam player Kim Tae-Ryung registered the first ever goal for Bucheon FC on a curled free kick which smacked the right side of the net. No.17 Kim Jin Du had his shot at goal too as he claimed one by rounding the goalkeeper which gave Bucheon FC 3 points.
The Bucheon FC supporters were in full force despite the over-sized post-World Cup stadium, and Gyeongju had around 19 fans on away support which is even rare to see for N-League division.
